Abby fixed her own hair for church- even though I assured her that it was beautiful, she couldn't wear it to church- (her reaction...see picture)

You should have let her go to church like that. A few comments from the other kids would have cured her...oh wait, she is stubborn like me. Never mind. She would have worn it with pride regardless!
Lorie she must have really worked hard to achieve that hair style. You could at least tell her what a good job she did on her own. Do I see that Lorie determined look on her face? You must have hurt her feelings. I can remember seeing that same look of defiance on your face.
At least she didn't get her hair styling from this grandmother. I loved to use scissors on my hair at that age. I had very long hair that was always kept neatly braided with pretty ribbons to match my dresses. I hated those braids and pretty ribbons. I liked mud and worms and not dresses.
She does cute cute with her hair style.

We aren't counting the days for school to start. We had a back to school BBQ Party on Fri. No kids were aloud. I'll send you a picture of the cook and him celebrating to your e-mail.
